One day, Red/Little Red Riding Hood felt to have a fantastic adventure. She packed her bag with delicious treats for Grandma/Granny/Meemaw and set off through the forest. Red Riding Hood hopped along, excited to discover all the treasures the forest held.

As she walked, Red Riding Hood bumped into a silly/funny/curious squirrel who asked her about a hidden path leading to a gorgeous lake. Intrigued, Red Riding Hood followed/went along/traveled the new path, leaving the ordinary trail behind.

Long ago, there were three little pigs who needed to find safe places to live. The smallest pig {was lazy{ and built his house out of loose hay. The second pig was rather thoughtful, so he built his house out of planks. But the third pig|was very resourceful and took the time to build his house out of sturdy lumber.

A sly wolf came along, and he wanted to eat some pigs. He arrived at the first pig's door and asked politely, "Little pig, may I come in?". The smallest of the three pigs refused, saying, "Never!". The wolf {huffed and puffed and blew the house down|tossed the straw house aside with one huff and puff! The first pig scrambled to safety to his brother's house.

• The hungry wolf tracked down the first pig, and found himself facing the second pig's house of sticks. He said again, "Little pig, little pig, let me in!"
• Piggy Number Two answered bravely, "Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!". But {the wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down|was much stronger this time, and the second pig fled in terror to his brother's house.

Made it to their eldest brother's brick house. The wolf, who was getting more and more frustrated, arrived at the house. He shouted with all his might, "Open the door!"
